Biography:
Michael Ham draws on over 22 years in the trenches as a professional speaker and his succesful career in the financial services industry. He has experienced successes, failures, celebrations and disasters. One thing for certain, he almost always entertains his audience and makes them laugh. Even in broaching areas of long term care, legacy and estate planning, Michael is able to convey his “Wizdom” to humor his audience. He is a member of the high IQ society, MENSA and uses his passion for learning and education in a delightfully entertaining way.
In 1996, Michael authored of the popular selling book, The Women’s Investment Guide. While promoting his book, he appeared on many local and network television broadcasts. He has been heard locally on radio stations including KVIL, KEWS, KLUV, KSCS and KOAI, and seen numerous times on Good Day Dallas (Fox), Good Morning Texas (ABC) and Positively Texas (CBS).
He earned his specialization as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and delivers a meaningful message on the collaborative divorce concept. He has worked diligently with local charities winning the Platinum award from the American Cancer Society and the Lifetime Member Award for the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
Born and bred in "southern" Dallas Michael was the first in his entire extended family (his mother was the eldest of 13 children) to earn a college degree. For almost 50 years, Michael has been submersed in all areas of economic and social diversity in Dallas. He didn’t read about the stories and lessons learned from a hardscrable childhood, he lived them. Interesting tidbits of Dallas' storied past are his favorite topics.
Michael is not a “One Trick Pony” with his presentation. Customizing his message to your specific group or need is easily accommodated.
While it has been said that “It's a lot easier to get a new audience than it is to get a new speech,” Michael enjoys and welcomes the challenge of pragmatic customization for each group.
He has experienced the satisfaction and the frustrations of being a successful entrepreneur and business owner, while never losing his desire to motivate, inspire and empower his listeners. Michael’s energetic delivery style and compelling story telling ability will not disappoint your audience. He has honed his unique ability to engage and connect with people so that they’re ready, willing and anxious to listen and learn.
